Mike Davis of the Article III Project joined Jack Posobiec on Monday's episode of Human Events Daily to discuss the action he's taken to hold Republican Senators accountable for holding out on confirming President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet picks, particularly Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.

Davis called on viewers to "take action" to "light up your home state senators" by using his website, article3project.org, which will "do automatic patch through calls to both of your home state senators."

"And you tell them to support Pete Hegseth like we did with Kash Patel," he said, speaking on how his supporters lobbied for Patel after his nomination for FBI Director.

"And I'll tell you why the President of the United States gets to pick his cabinet," Davis continued, "Trump won in a landslide. He has a mandate for change in Washington. He won 312 electoral votes. He won the popular vote. He won all seven swing states, and he gets to pick his cabinet."

He emphasized that Senate Republicans "must vote to confirm all of Trump's qualified Cabinet picks," adding, "Pete Hegseth is clearly qualified. He is a warfighter. He is a reformer. He's someone who President Trump trusts."

Davis noted that certain Senators could be hesitant to confirm Hegseth due to allegations of past misconduct but reminded the audience that an American right is the presumption of innocence, not the presumption of guilt.

"The opponents of his nomination need to come forward and testify publicly with clear and convincing action," he said, "evidence that a qualified cabinet pick is disqualified, and if they don't do that, they need to put up or shut up."
