JACK POSOBIEC and STEVE BAKER: 'The vast majority of GOP lawmakers in DC just don't want to deal with January 6th'

Jack Posobiec hosted journalist Steve Baker on Human Events Daily Thursday. Baker was among those arrested after being at the Capitol on January 6, 2020. However, Baker was there simply to report on the planned events that were scheduled and pre-approved by Capitol police that day.

With the lack of pushback from Republicans amid the weaponization of the DOJ by Democrats, Baker has come to the conclusion that "GOP lawmakers in DC just don't want to deal with January 6th."

Posobiec, too, agreed, that when he has personally talked to conservative leaders in DC, they have not given an appropriate response to the criminalization of journalists and innocent everyday people, even a 71-year-old grandmother who was at the Capitol praying that day.

"I get this sense that they still think that the other side or these institutions are just good people who sometimes have unintended consequences, that really, they're operating in good faith, and they want the best thing for the country," Posobiec stated. "I just disagree with that completely. And I think that's the kind of attitude that's going to lead absolutely to ruin. Because this isn't about fairness, this isn't about truth. It's about locking people up."

Baker replied that he believes there are a "small handful that are doing good work, and they are going slow," adding that "God knows we want them to move faster, but they're up against their own side, up against their own team in pushing these things forward and there's a lot of truth yet to come out about this."
