Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.-Colo.) yesterday summed up what a lot of people have been thinking: whatever the merits of Democrats' assault on Gonzales over his firing of several U.S. Attorneys, he should have resigned a long time ago for his corrupt non-enforcement of nearly all immigration laws.
I agree. Gonzales has failed as the President's chief law enforcement official -and done so with malice aforethought. He should go. The silent chorus of his lack of defenders on the right is deafening.
