McCain vs. Club for Growth--Round 3 View All Capital Briefs Posts

As numbers for Republican presidential hopeful John McCain dwindle to around half of those for frontrunner Rudy Giuliani, he adds another log to the conservative fire against him (the first major failing was not appearing at CPAC). The ongoing feud between McCain and the Club for Growth grew with their published piece, proclaiming that, “While Senator McCain’s economic record contains a number of pro-growth positions, such as his support for school choice and free trade, and his steadfast opposition to wasteful government spending, his overall record is tainted by a marked antipathy towards the free market and individual freedom.”

McCain recently responded that he had nothing in common with the Club for Growth—who in turn, issued this video response.


However, another video was coughed up as well, showing Club for Growth Founder Steve Moore praising McCain in January to the tune of Reagan. The battle rages on…
