John McCain, who has a record of
snubbing conservatives, may have blown off 6,000+ right-leaning activists at this year's CPAC and shot himself in the foot by slandering the attendees as a group of "
mostly Washington insiders" - But now he is making himself available for you to ask him questions, online.
This might be great news... except that
the McCain campaign will charge you $100 for the honor on taking part in this web discussion.
I understand the webcast is taking place at a fundraiser and
McCain's campaign is seriously falling behind in fundraising dollars. But isn't the entire point of a webcast to try to reach as many members of the same Republican base that McCain claimed CPAC attendees aren't part of? By charging $100, it appears John is perfectly happy with limiting his webcasts to an audience of only "Washington insiders."
