Standing Athwart Congress, Yelling "Go Home!"
The Club for Growth's Andrew Roth crunched the numbers, and showed investors can be more successful when Congress is not in session. This is dubbed the "DC Effect", where markets react negatively to the unpredictability of possible new regulation on business.
Giuliani’s Campaign Plans Leaked!
Hot Air's Allahpundit comments on the New York Daily News'
report on leaked internal documents from the Giuliani campaign: "the political and personal weak points it identifies are well known and most of the document apparently deals with fundraising, not strategy. They got it, so they say, from a “source sympathetic to one of
Giuliani’s rivals for the White House,” who claims it was accidentally left behind at a campaign stop
Rudy made on behalf of a Republican candidate in November. Whether that’s true and someone was careless or whether someone on the inside is disgruntled and handed it off, it ain’t good."
Outside the Beltway's James Joyner adds, "Aside from listing the people
Giuliani plans to target to handle key organizational roles–which gives a heads up to rivals and creates potential embarrassment if he is unsuccessful at bringing them on board–this doesn’t seem like that big of a deal."
Race 4 2008's Woodrow Eisenhower calls this act the "first dirty trick in the oncoming war for the Republican nomination."

Loony Lefties

Bill O'Reilly's sex life.
Hey ABC, That is Really Sic and Classless
News Busters' Mark Finkelstein opines on an outrageous act by ABC News. ABC, while reporting the death of Army Specialist
Dustin Donica of Texas and comments left by friends on
Donica's MySpace page, made an obvious editorial comment in their on-screen graphic:
The "(sic)" is apparently correcting the religious faith that was being expressed.
Finkelstein opines, "Does traditional religious belief strike ABC as so odd or erroneous as to require a snide little 'sic'?"
Ed Driscoll believes those three letters exposes the Blue/Red state divide, and is another example of why Fox News does so well in the ratings.
Freedom's Zone's Richard reminds us of ABC's background: "Are we assuming ABC's intentions? Perhaps, but after all, they do have a
history of
being anti-faith, and especially
anti-Christian."
