World Series MVP Campaigns Against Missouri's Amendment 2 View All of The Ballot Box Posts

A new ad running in newspapers across that state of Missouri features three baseball players, including the MVP of this year's World Series, opposing the pro-cloning Amendment 2.

St. Louis Cardinals shortstop David Eckstein, who was named MVP of last week's World Series, is featured prominently along with teammate Jeff Suppan and Kansas City Royals first baseman Mike Sweeney.

Vote No on Amendment 2

The amendment attracted national attention following Michael J. Fox's controversial TV ad that aired during the World Series. Suppan and Sweeney were part of a rebuttal ad that also included actors Jim Caviezel and Patricia Heaton.

The newspaper ad will run in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Kansas City Star, Cape Girardeau Southeast Missourian, DeSoto Jefferson County Watchman, Dexter Daily Statesman, Kennett Daily Dunklin Democrat, Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic and Sikeston Standard Democrat.

UPDATE -- 5:53 p.m.: My good friend Katie Favazza has an excellent post about Amendment 2 at Elocutio. She links to some great resources.
