Some conservatives in Michigan are
working overtime to derail Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's chances at the 2008 presidential nomination, but according to
Hugh Hewitt, "the impression is growing of significant Romney momentum among Republican elites and grassroots alike."
Hewitt's column in
WORLD Magazine comes at a perfect time for Romney, who is in
Iowa today and travels to
Michigan tonight. Both states will play a major role in the 2008 campaign.
