Our Right Angle blog is required reading for big-name conservatives, says a new survey released today by RightWingNews.com.

House Majority Leader John Boehner (R.-Ohio), one of Washington’s most important power players, said this blog is one that he regularly reads or has his staff monitor.

Syndicated columnist David Limbaugh, author of "Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity" and "Absolute Power: The Legacy of Corruption in the Clinton-Reno Justice Department," also said our blog was on his favorites.

The RightWingNews.com survey asked nine “big-name conservatives” to list their favorite blogs. Human Events’ blog stacks up with Captain’s Quarters, Hugh Hewitt, Hotline On Call, Instapundit, Michelle Malkin, National Review, Power Line and Red State. If I didn’t heap enough praise on John Hawkins last night for his RightWingNews.com survey about everyone’s favorite conservative columnists, then he gets my props for making news again today.

Human Events launched the Right Angle blog last August, giving regular contributors to the website another forum to discuss and debate current events. The blog has also serves as an outlet to break news. This week alone the Drudge Report linked to my posts about Rupert Murdoch’s plans to host a fundraiser for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

We are absolutely thrilled that Majority Leader Boehner and David Limbaugh count us among their favorite blogs to read. It is a testament to the hard work and great reporting of our team at Human Events and our top-notch contributors.

It’s been an exciting week for us. As my colleague Ivy Sellers reported on Tuesday, HUMAN EVENTS joined forces with Tim Chapman, director of the Center for Media and Public Policy at the Heritage Foundation, to host the first weekly meeting of conservative bloggers in Washington, D.C. Fourteen bloggers either attended in person or by phone. At next week’s meeting, Rep. Mike Pence (R.-Ind.), the first congressman to start a blog, will address the group.
