Hornady Critical Defense: Quality self-defense ammo in niche calibers

Armordillo concealment holsters: Quality Kydex at reasonable prices

Retention was excellent for both the gun holster and the double magazine pouch. With a gun inserted, I turned the holster upside down and shook it vigorously. The Glock stayed put, not slipping a bit. The same held true for the magazines in their carrier.

  • Folding rifles in pistol calibers

    Folding rifles in pistol calibers

Probably the most interesting feature of the carbine, is that it can fold in half. I do not mean that the stock folds, I mean the whole gun folds in half. When you pull down on the trigger guard, you can rotate the front half of the carbine back onto itself, so that the front sight rests on top of the buttstock. This makes it darn handy for carrying around.

    Self-defense in non-permissive environments

Spree killers, also known less-accurately as “active shooters,” tend to be cowards, and as such they will gravitate toward areas they believe less likely to be able to stop them. Areas like gun free zones.

Mighty Roar of the Mousy .22

I’ve never walked out of the house carrying a .22 as a self defense gun. I hope I never have to. But, I can foresee certain circumstances under which I would. What if I was struck by an illness that simply left me so weak that I couldn’t tame the relatively mild recoil of a 9mm?

  • Voting: A debt of honor

    Voting: A debt of honor

I can point to any number of reasons why President Obama should be run out of town. We can talk about the economy, Fast & Furious, the threatened imposition of a new assault weapon ban or the health care abomination. But leaving our people to die on foreign soil strikes to the fundamental core of our being.

Mighty roar of the mousy .22
