Move America Forward, the nation’s largest pro-troop organization, unveiled a chilling report on escalating attacks on military recruiters on Friday as anti-war forces planned disorderly conduct on Wednesday, the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq War.
Move America Forward on Friday released the “Sedition Report” after an exhaustive months-long investigation into the radical attacks on military recruiting centers, including gunshots pumped into a Denver, Colo., recruiting center, bombs in Times Square and St. Louis, Mo., and firebombing of recruiters’ cars in Alabama and Maryland.
As MAF Chairman Melanie Morgan spoke about the Sedition Report during a press conference at the National Press Club, a group of leftwing radicals, Code Pink, disrupted the gathering by screaming and harassing Morgan, a congressman and others.
Radical “peace” activist Tighe Barry led the disruption as he stood up, stripped his outer layers of clothing and revealed a pink captain’s jacket with epaulets. Other Code Pink members, who infiltrated the press conference by pretending to be journalists, also stripped down to pink underclothing.

Rep. John Carter (R-Tex.) left the room as the radicals screamed and used X-rated epithets to describe U.S. troops. Carter had already spoken about his sponsorship of the “Semper Fi Act”, which would have stripped federal funds from Berkeley, Calif., due to its anti-military positions that include encouraging disruptions at a Marine recruiting station.
The Semper Fi Act failed in an early-morning vote on Friday that had the U.S. Senate voting 41-57 to defeat GOP Sen. Jim DeMint’s amendment to allow the transfer of more than $2 million in Berkeley’s pet projects to the Marines.
“This radical and violent behavior by Code Pink and its ringleader, Tighe Barry, at the press conference proved undeniably how far these leftists will go to disrupt Constitutionally protected activities,” Morgan said. “But this was only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to these groups who are so desperate to help our Islamist enemies beat America. They are losing on the battleground, so they attack innocent civilians and heroes at home.”
Barry -- who has been arrested for disrupting the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee -- claimed he was a Marine, which is not true. Barry is also notorious for traveling to Pakistan and supporting Islamic terrorists. Security guards removed Barry and the other Code Pink members.
When Morgan left the building, the Code Pinkers attacked again, this time yelling at Morgan, who was alone, and threatening to sue her for publishing the “Sedition Report.”
“These people will not stop Move America Forward,” Morgan said. ‘We will fight them in any way that is legally possible. Shining light on the truth hurts these groups, who thrive on anarchy and inflicting pain upon military families and America.”
Move America Forward (MAF) this week is working with attorneys to address the lawbreaking by the anti-war groups. MAF is asking the federal government to address the problems laid out in the Sedition Report by arresting and prosecuting suspects. The group also asks that the U.S. Marshal protect the federal offices of recruiters.
“The anti-American groups will step up their attacks this week, which marks five years that our troops have been fighting in Iraq for America’s security,” Morgan said.
Radical groups such Code Pink, the War Resisters League, United for Peace and Justice, Rude Mechanical Orchestra, Movement for a Democratic Society, the Socialist Party, and more than a dozen other organizations plan to blockade the headquarters of the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.
