EMPACTAmerica to participate at Dec. 7 EMP DC conference
EMPact America will be attending the InfraGard National Electromagnetic Pulse Special Interest Group’s “High Impact Threat Conference” at the Dupont Summit Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Washington’s Carnegie Institution for Science.
The sessions will cover new developments on solar storms, electromagnetic pulse, cyber threats, related legislation, and emergency protective technology including local power generation and energy storage, said Ross Howath, the the vice-president of Elma, N.Y.-based EMPact America.
Howarth said confirmed speakers include Rep. Roscoe G. Bartlett (R.-Texas), Asst. Secretary of Defense Dr. Paul Stockton; Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, the executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security; Dr. George Baker, a former CIA director and former head of EMP technical programs for the Defense Nuclear Agency; and members of the congressional EMP Caucus.
