The leading rival to Mitt Romney in the Republican primaries told Human Events that he dismissed media reports quoting the presumptive nominee???s sister Jane saying that if elected her brother will not work to restrict abortion.

???I am not concerned about it, not until I actually hear something from the Romney campaign,??? said former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who won more than 245 delegates in the primaries.

The National Journal reported that the sister said, ???It???s never going to happen,??? after a Women for Mitt event held in Tampa.

???I know that you cannot be held responsible for everything every relative says,??? Santorum said.

???We don???t know anything about the sister or her relationship to her brother or what she may be trying to do,??? he said. ???I had a nephew who supported Ron Paul.???

Santorum said the convention has been a great success.

Santorum said he is also pleased with how the Romney campaign has used him to reach out to his supporters and others.

???We are also doing stuff on our own to help the campaign,??? he said.

???I am very impressed with the Romney campaign,??? Santorum said. ???There is unity in the party and the campaign has a real engaged, workman-like attitude.???
