Lebanese terror group Hezbollah praises Gaza camp protests at US colleges

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has praised the pro-Palestinian students and activists wreaking havoc on college campuses across the United States.

During a recent interview with Lebanese outlet Al-Manar TV, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization's second-in-command said he believed that the actions of the youth could have an impact on support for Israel in Washington, and that without American support, the erasure of the Jewish state would be much easier.

"Biden is under internal and external pressure because of his policy and approach," Qassem began, per a translation from MEMRI. "The pressure within America is more significant. He is at risk of losing the elections because of Gaza."

He went on to declare that, "when the American people take a stand in support of Gaza – or rather, those among them who take a stand in support of Gaza – we salute and applaud them, and we believe that they are standing for justice against the occupation."

"We appreciate and value this very much," he continued. "Even if Biden says that he will not be influenced by this, he will whether he likes it or not. We will see him taking actions because of the protesters' influence on him."

Qassem suggested that the "popular lobby" of young people could eventually overtake the "Zionist lobby" and change the US' stance on Israel.

"Where do the members of Congress come from? From among the people," he explained, noting that if the people's perspective changes, so do the politicians' down the road. "There were never such level [of protests] in America," he added. "This would mean embarking on a new stage, and maybe one of these days, America will no longer support Israel to such an extent. Without support, Israel is nothing. We would not have to work hard in order to destroy Israel. Without support, it will be destroyed."

Despite protests showing no signs of letting up any time soon, Biden has remained steadfast in his support for the Jewish state, as have most members of Congress and other officials capable of enacting change.
